Welcome 02 March 2009
Dear Parents and Students
On behalf of all of us in Tobago it is my pleasure to invite and welcome you to our peaceful Caribbean island. Indeed, we are delighted to have the opportunity to host you and I am confident that your visit with us would be just as delightful.
Tobago, “the Capital of paradise” is renowned for black, gold and white sand beaches, turquoise waters, breathtaking marine scenery, magnificent sunset, exceptional culinary variety and some of the Caribbean’s friendliest people!
Tobago has been the most fought-over territory in the entire Caribbean, having changed colonial ownership approximately thirty-one times between the Spanish, French, Dutch, English and the Courlanders from Latvia. Our villages attest to our diverse history.
On tour you will discover villages with familiar names such as Goodwood, Pembroke, Glamorgan, Argyle and Roxborough. And, there is the “Englishman’s Bay” on the North-East of the Island. Our Rain Forest is simply phenomenal! The World Travel Awards of the United Kingdom adjudged it the best eco destination for four consecutive years.
Many of our tourism partners on the island have fantastic websites that provide detailed information on accommodations, events, restaurants, water sports, attractions and more - allowing our visitors to begin their adventure with us even before they leave the comfort of their homes.
Your days here would be spent in blissful warm climate interspersed with short bouts of balmy rainfall. Additionally, you will be awed by our unique variety of flora and fauna.
Once again I take great pleasure in welcoming you to our Clean, Green and Serene Capital of paradise.
